“WORLD TOUR FINAL – Homecoming” to be held at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA

Guitarist Masayoshi Takanaka has announced a special homecoming concert, “WORLD TOUR FINAL – Homecoming,” marking the grand finale of his ongoing world tour, “TAKANAKA SUPER WORLD LIVE 2025–2026.”

The concert will take place on Friday, May 8, 2026, at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA (Shibuya Public Hall).

The world tour has traveled across major cities including London, New York City, Los Angeles, and Sydney, delivering sold-out performances around the globe.
This special show in Tokyo will serve as the grand culmination of the tour.

The band members include Nobu Saito (Percussion), Akira Okazawa (Bass), Masahiro Miyazaki (Drums), Kaoru Inoue (Keyboard), and Rina Takamoto (Keyboard), along with chorus group AMAZONS (Yuko Otaki, Kumi Saito, Tomoko Yoshikawa).
These accomplished musicians—who have supported the signature Takanaka sound for many years—will bring the stage to life.

A City Pop festival will be held in London this August, with Masayoshi Takanaka confirmed as the headliner!
This will be the first large-scale outdoor Japanese music festival ever held in the UK.

On Friday, August 7, the City Pop Festival will take place at the historic open-air venue Crystal Palace Bowl in South London. This marks the first time a major outdoor festival dedicated to Japanese music will be staged in the United Kingdom.

Established in 1961, Crystal Palace Bowl is a renowned outdoor venue with a rich musical legacy. Its former “Garden Party” concerts featured legendary artists such as Pink Floyd, The Beach Boys, Lou Reed, Curtis Mayfield, and Gil Scott-Heron. It is also known as the site of Bob Marley’s final London performance.

General ticket sales will begin at 10:00 AM (local time) on Friday, February 27.
